Who are we?
We are a family just like yours. We live on our ranch, called the KaleidEscape Forest, in northern Mendocino County. Our family purchased this land in 1978, after the timber had been logged; we are now dedicated to making it healthier and more beautiful for the next generation.

The Looking Glass Cottage
Our beautifully restored redwood cabin overlooks the hillside orchard in the KaleidEscape Forest. Several of the trees were planted by the first homesteader on the land over 100 years ago. After a day in the forest this is a perfect place to rest, relax, and reflect.

The KaleidEscape Forest is located near the hamlet of Piercy, at the top end of Mendocino County in Northern California. This region is home to soils deposited from the collision of three different tectonic plates, known as the triple junction. The result is an incredibly mixed landscape, suitable for the thriving abundance of an incredible amount of varied plant life. Every single acre has a unique feel, almost like walking though distinctly designed rooms in a forest. Touring the forest is like walking though a museum of wilderness with three hundred unique one-acre exhibits.
